Family info/hobbies:
My husband and I have been married for 12 years. We went to high school together. We have two great kids. Jake is 12 and Jensen is 10. I enjoy going to the beach. I could go every day, for the entire day! I love watching my children and cheering them on in their different sports and activities. I am usually the "team mom" and love every minute of it! I love camping and taking ski trips with my family. I enjoy exercising and running when I can fit it in.
Formative Geographic Location (where did you grow up)?
I grew up in Connecticut where the seasons are distinct and beautiful. We try to go back and visit in the summers and winter when possible.
What do you love most about your job?
I love developing relationships with the people I work with (children, families, co-workers, and clients). It's so rewarding! I love helping families navigate the busy work-life balance, reaching milestones with the team, and celebrating successes that are worked so hard for.
Who is your hero/why?
My mom. At one point she had two toddlers, a daughter in middle school, and two teenagers in high school. I don't know how she did it, but we all felt loved while she taught us solid moral values and the importance of integrity.
If you could meet a famous person (alive or dead), who would you want to meet/why?
I would have liked to meet JFK, Jr. for many reasons. What a family, what a life! He and his family were a huge and influential part of American history.
What inspires you?
The children. These little people in our centers inspire me every day. If they can leave mom and dad each day (who wants to do that), be strong, and learn about the world around them, then I can do anything!
What was your favorite subject in school/why?
I was fortunate to attend a performing arts high school. My favorite subject was ballet. I loved it! It was so beautiful, elegant, and disciplined. My children are getting older now so I hope to carve out some "me time" and take ballet classes again.
What is (or was, growing up) your favorite color crayon?
My favorite color crayon was green and my favorite number was 4 and any multiple of four.
