As Center Director, Tyrone’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in his care.  He is devoted to the well being of everyone in his center – children, families and teachers.  He develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in his center.  He encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, the Tyrone acts as the on-site point of contact with our employer sponsor answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.

Tyrone joined CCLC in January of 2003 as a Twos teacher at our Shores Center. He moved on to open a school-age center for the company in Burlingame. He has held several other positions within CCLC including Director at our Sandpiper center, and School-Age Programs Supervisor, where he supported several of our school-age centers.  Tyrone attended Arizona State University then transferred to California State University Fresno (Fresno State). He played baseball at Fresno State for a short time while completing his B.S. in Child Development with a minor in Psychology.  Tyrone believes that as much as he has the ability to teach children the components necessary to walk through life, they equally have the ability to teach him how to enjoy life. What Tyrone loves most about his job are the children’s smiles and making them laugh. His favorite center activity is story time.
