As Center Director, Caren's role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care.  She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers.  She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center.  She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Caren acts as the on-site point of contact with our employer sponsor answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.

Caren Wilkerson has been with CCLC since December 2010 but in the field for over 12 years and has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She is married with 3 children and a grandchild. She is inspired by her grandmother who lives everyday to the fullest. What Caren loves most about her job is interacting with the children everyday, she loves watching their smiles and listening to all of their amazing questions and creative stories. Her favorite center activity is the Week of the Young Child.
