As Center Director, Cassandra’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care.  She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers.  She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center.  She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Cassandra acts as the on-site point of contact with Oracle answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.

Cassandra has been with CCLC since 2005 and became the Center Director at CCLCShores in late 2010. She has been in the field for over 15 years. She has a BA in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing, an AA in Liberal Studies and a Teaching Credential for the state of California. She is also in the process of completing her Master’s degree. Cassandra believes that children learn at their own pace and that the center’s job is to help facilitate that process and guide them to explore new parts of the world. She believes that teachers should be available to answer all questions and to be patient as they learn about the world we live in.
