As Center Director, Sheriann’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care.  She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers.  She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center.  She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Sheriann acts as the on-site point of contact with our employer sponsor answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.

Sheriann has been with CCLC since April 2011 and has worked in the field for 24 years. Sheriann has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Developmental Psychology and Education from UC Davis.  In addition, she possesses a Site Supervisor Child Development Permit issued by the California Teaching Credentialing Commission.  Sheriann has a passion for providing high quality education and care for your children and keeps up on the latest theories and trends, as well as advocating for children and staff.  During her free time, she spends it watching her girls in their various activities, “attempting” to get fit, dabbling in knitting, and when the girls are tucked into bed at night, catching up on her favorite medical and law dramas on television.  She finds the best part of her job to watch the children reach their developmental milestones in their own individual ways and providing messy, fun, sensory learning experiences.
