As Center Director, Leia’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care.  She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers.  She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center.  She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Leia acts as the on-site point of contact with our employer sponsor answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.

Leia has been with CCLC since August 2006 and has had 7 years of experience in the field. She has a MA in Education and a BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Child and Family Development. She is married with 2 children and enjoys hiking, kayaking, and reading. Leia loves working with her wonderful staff, being a leader for her team and building relationships with the children and their families. Her favorite center activity is hosting family events like the Annual Spring Fling where there’s a petting zoo, jump house, cake walk, and silent art auction because it’s a chance to connect and mingle with families.
