As Center Director, Diane’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care.  She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers.  She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center.  She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Diane acts as the on-site point of contact with our employer sponsor answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.

Diane brings 29 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education to her role as the Executive Director at The Launching Pad.  She has been a Director at KLC for 11 years and in her current role almost 4 years. Diane’s goals is to provide a rich and positive learning environment for the children and teachers.  2008 was a year that included growth for Diane as a professional as well.  She has worked on including people and collecting input in order to move forward, learning to communicate more and looking at the uniqueness in each situation while maintaining the needs of the children as the first priority.  Diane’s favorite center activity is giving tours to new families.  A parent who needs to make this important child care decision is her audience and she gets to show how proud she is of the Launching Pad.
