As Center Director, Kristen’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care. She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers. She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center. She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Kristen acts as the on-site point of contact with our employer sponsor answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.
Kristen has been with CCLC since April 2010, and has been in the field for 20 years. She has a BA in Social Science and Education, and a MS in Education. She is divorced with 1 child, and has been a life long resident of New England. She is a musician in her spare time both vocally and with piano. Kristen is a movie buff and also enjoys reading, cooking, sports, and song writing. What she loves most about her job is helping children and teachers grow and reach their full potential. Watching the development and learning of both children and teachers is so rewarding. Kristen is inspired by small "Aha! " moments with the children. Seeing the change and joy in a child when they discover a new ability, skill, or concept is so inspiring! Her favorite center activities are all literacy building activities and all music activities. She loves having guest readers and joining the children for a quick story or singing with the children.
