As Center Director, Sandy’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care. She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers. She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center. She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Sandy acts as the on-site point of contact with our employer sponsor answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.

Sandy joined Children’s World Learning Center at the National Security Agency in January, 2007 as a Program Specialist in charge of training and curriculum implementation for infants, toddlers and twos.  She was promoted to Center Director in August, 2007.  Her prior experience includes curriculum development and staff training in a child care setting, family child care provider, intervention and referral services for Foster Home families, telephone counseling and market research. Her volunteer work has included counseling pregnant teenagers and at-risk women and helping preschool-aged children develop language skills.  Sandy enjoys being part of a wonderful team of men and women who provide a safe and nurturing environment for children each and every day – and watching this team support each other in meeting their professional goals. Sandy’s favorite center activity is reading a story or playing on the playground.
