As Center Director, Kathy’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care. She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers. She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center. She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Kathy acts as the on-site point of contact with our employer sponsor answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.

Kathy has worked at MicroChips Early Learning Center over 14 years.  Kathy has enjoyed working in an employer-sponsored center because of the relationships she has been able to maintain with parents and children due to their connection to the center.  Kathy earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education. What she loves most about her job is the children learning and getting excited when they accomplish a task. Kathy’s favorite center activity is any activity that involves the children helping the community and others.
