As Center Director, Chris’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care. She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers. She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center. She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work or school knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Chris acts as the on-site point of contact with our employer sponsor answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.
Chris has been with the company since November of 1991 and with the OSU Beaver Beginnings since September of 1997. Chris earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University and her MBA from the NYIT. Chris loves watching the kids grow through her program and enjoys being a part of her alma mater. What she loves best about her job is that everyday is a new challenge. Besides the everyday interactions with the kids Chris’s favorite center activity is the kindergarten graduation.

Program Information
OSU Beaver Beginnings uses an exclusive educational program which provides unlimited opportunities for the development of the whole child. There's a unique curriculum for every age level, centered around developmentally appropriate and fun activities that help children develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Center provides care primarily to students and faculty with some spaces available to community children aged 3-5.

Extracurricular Activities: Learning Adventures and Summer Camp
Holidays Observed: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Professional development days on Martin Luther King Day and the Friday before Labor Day.
