As Center Director, Susan’s role is to create a safe, positive and enriched learning environment for the children in her care. She is devoted to the well being of everyone in her center – children, families and teachers. She develops and maintains strong relationships with the children and their families in her center. She encourages parent involvement and establishes a sense of trust and security so that parents are comfortable at work knowing that their child is in a nurturing environment. In addition, Susan acts as the on-site point of contact with the University of Florida answering everyday questions and maintaining a positive relationship.

Susan joined CCLC recently. She has her Master’s degree in Elementary           Education and has been working in the field of education for the past 21 years.  She comes to CCLC from Sylvan Learning Centers where she was a Director and in charge of recruiting, staff development, curriculum planning and assessment.  Prior to Sylvan, Susan worked for Nova University at their University School. Susan has extensive experience in the field of education and enjoys watching children grow and learn. Susan is married and has four children ages 5 to 11.  She loves to spend time with them reading, playing outside, camping, and watching them grow and develop. Her interests are reading, going to sporting events, and spending time with her family. Susan's educational philosophy is to make learning fun and interesting and then every child will have a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
